Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector of the Southern region, an officer from the recruitment and staffing department of one of the Odesa RTCs and SPs has been exposed for receiving an unlawful benefit for transporting a mobilized man out of the training center.

According to the investigation, the official demanded 10,000 US dollars from an acquaintance who is mobilized and serving in another region. For this money, he promised to arrange for RTC and SP employees to secretly transport the serviceman during his transfer to the training center, bypassing checkpoints, and deliver him to Odesa.

The organizer of the scheme was detained while receiving the entire amount of the unlawful benefit. He has been notified of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. A motion is being prepared for the court to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention.

Pre-trial investigation is ongoing, and individuals involved in the commission of the crime are being identified.

The measures to expose the crime were carried out by prosecutors in cooperation with investigators from the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in the Odesa region, with operational support from the UCR in the Odesa region of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
