Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found a resident of the town of Stepnohirsk guilty of treason (part 2 of article 28, part 2 of article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors proved in court that a kindergarten guard from the frontline village was recruited by representatives of the Russian special services through an acquaintance from the temporarily occupied Vasylivka. She, acting in favor of the enemy, transmitted tasks from her curators to him via a closed channel in a messenger.

By agreement, the man collected information about the locations and movements of the Defense Forces' units, as well as military equipment in the Zaporizhzhia direction. For the purpose of concealment, he recorded the obtained intelligence data on paper and showed it to his accomplice during video calls.

It has been established that the information he provided was used by the occupiers to shell the civilian infrastructure of Stepnohirsk.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Zaporizhzhia region.
