15 years in prison - prosecutors proved the guilt of the residents of Mykolaiv and Kharkiv region who worked for the enemy

Prosecutors proved that in March 2024, a resident of the Voznesensky district of Mykolaiv region agreed to cooperate with a representative of the Russian special services and began gathering information about the locations and movements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine units in the area. The collected intelligence data was transmitted by the perpetrator through the chat-bot of Serhiy Lebedev, known by the pseudonym "Lohmatyi," who acted as an intermediary between him and the representative of the Russian special services.

Prosecutors also proved that a resident of Kharkiv region independently contacted a representative of the aggressor state via messenger in February 2024. Subsequently, he provided detailed information regarding the locations and timing of the Armed Forces of Ukraine units in the vicinity of the settlement of Tsyrkuny in Kharkiv district. In particular, he reported the presence of military personnel near one of the local stores and suggested an approximate time that he believed was the most "convenient" for a fire strike.

Following the public prosecution by the prosecutors of Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regional prosecutor's offices, they were found guilty of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. The resident of Mykolaiv region was also found guilty under part 3 of Article 114-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the regional units of the Security Service of Ukraine.
