Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Southern region, a serviceman has been found guilty of treason.

By the verdict of the Trostyanets District Court of the Vinnytsia region, he was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

In court, prosecutors proved that the serviceman, mobilized to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was recruited by a representative of the Russian special services. Since August 2024, for monetary reward, he collected and provided the enemy with military information, including geographical coordinates. In particular, while in the city of Odesa and at his place of military service in the Vinnytsia region, he recorded and transmitted via the messenger "Telegram" photo and video materials of military facilities, places of storage of weapons, military equipment, and personnel of the military unit.  

The actions of the convicted person were qualified under part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. 

The measures for uncovering were carried out by prosecutors in cooperation with investigators and operational staff of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.
