Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Vinnytsia Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the defense sector of the Southern region, a serviceman has been found guilty of treason, sabotage, and desertion (Part 2 of Article 111, Part 2 of Article 113, Part 4 of Article 408 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

By the court's verdict, he was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property, except for housing.

In court, prosecutors proved that in August 2024, the convicted individual was recruited by representatives of the aggressor state and voluntarily provided them with information about the location of units and equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the territories of Vinnytsia and Sumy regions. He conducted photo and video documentation, determined the coordinates of the objects, and transmitted this material via the internet messenger "Telegram."

Also, at the end of August – beginning of September 2024, the serviceman set fire to railway relay cabinets in the Vinnytsia region for monetary reward. He sent the results of the arson to his "curators."

It was established that in March 2024, the convicted individual left his place of service without permission after being in the hospital, failing to return to fulfill his duties in the military unit.

In September 2024, law enforcement officers detained him at his place of residence. The preventive measure is detention without the right to bail.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the investigative department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Vinnytsia region, with operational support from the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the SBU.
