With the support of the public prosecution, prosecutors from the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office have found a citizen guilty of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He has been sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors proved in court that during July – August 2024, the convicted individual received tasks via Telegram from a representative of the Russian Federation to collect and transmit the coordinates of military facilities in Chernihiv and Kyiv for money, as well as to inform whether there were military personnel present.

In particular, the clients were interested in information about the Chernihiv Regional TCC and SP, the Operational Command "North," border units, and certain military units in the capital and Chernihiv.

The convicted individual took photos and videos of these facilities and monitored them.

He is currently in custody.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office.
