A verdict has been issued by the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office against a resident of Kostiantynivka for treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He has been sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors proved that in February 2025, the man voluntarily began working for the aggressor state, which is destroying settlements in Donetsk and killing: he agreed to the proposal of a representative of the FSB of the Russian Federation to gather intelligence data regarding the presence of Defense Forces units in the frontline settlement.

The local resident agreed to cooperate with the enemy: he monitored in the city and around it the locations where our military and equipment were stationed. He collected information himself and learned from acquaintances. He then sent messages to his curator with descriptions and screenshots from "Google Maps." Over two months, he provided data on 17 such locations, including civilian infrastructure facilities.

The illegal actions of the recruited agent were uncovered and stopped. He awaited the court's verdict in a detention center.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
