Under public prosecution by the head of the Cherkasy regional prosecutor's office, the court found the man guilty of a number of serious crimes against sexual freedom and inviolability, as well as the production and possession of child pornography and theft (part 6 of article 152, part 4 of article 153, part 4 of article 185, part 4 of article 301-1, part 1 of article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The court sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment. He was also deprived of the right to hold positions or engage in activities related to the education, upbringing, or work with children for three years.

At the end of May 2022, while in one of the villages of the Cherkasy region, the previously convicted man raped a minor villager. Subsequently, he forced the victim to participate in the creation of pornographic materials, filming videos on his own phone. 

 On the same day, he stole a mobile phone from a local resident.

During the investigation, it was established that the accused illegally gained access to graphic files of child pornography on the internet, which he stored on his own phone. 

At the court hearing, the convicted person did not admit his guilt. The time for appealing the verdict is ongoing.

Until the verdict enters into legal force, the man will remain in custody. 

Information about the accused will be entered into the Register of persons convicted of crimes against the sexual freedom and sexual inviolability of minors.
