On October 18-19, the Russian Federation bombarded Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk region with drones and FPV drones

As a result of shelling by strike drones and FPV drones in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipropetrovsk region — 13 injured, damage to civil infrastructure, vehicles, agricultural buildings, and an educational institution. Prosecutors are documenting the consequences of the war crime against the civilian population committed by the armed forces of the Russian Federation on October 18-19. 

Zaporizhzhia: fire on the territory of an educational institution, vehicles damaged

According to the investigation, on October 18, 2025, between 00:05 and 00:45, the armed forces of the Russian Federation shelled Zaporizhzhia using strike UAVs. 

Civil infrastructure was damaged, and vehicles were destroyed. A fire broke out on the territory of the educational institution due to the shelling, which has now been extinguished.

Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, an investigation has been initiated into the commission of a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Dnipropetrovsk region: as a result of strikes on October 18-19 — 14 injured 

In the morning of October 18, 2025, the Russian armed forces struck the territory of the Synelnykove district using FPV drones. A man was injured, and residential buildings were damaged.

Later, the enemy shelled the Nikopol district with artillery and strike drones. Two local residents were injured, and agricultural buildings and citizens' houses were damaged.

The Russian armed forces attacked Dnipropetrovsk region again on the night of October 19, 2025, striking a residential area in the city of Shakhtarsk in the Synelnykove district. 11 people were injured.

Seven multi-storey buildings, 27 vehicles (9 of which were destroyed), a store, and an electricity pole were damaged.

In the Mezhiv community, an FPV drone damaged a private house, and in the Mykolaiv community of the Synelnykove district, an infrastructure facility was damaged due to a UAV attack.

In the Nikopol district, the Russian forces attacked the city of Nikopol and the Pokrov community using artillery and FPV drones.

Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding the facts of war crimes (Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
