Under the procedural guidance of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sphere of the Eastern Region, an indictment has been sent to court under Part 5 of Article 426-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (abuse of official powers in a state of war that caused material damage to the state) against the head of the housing and utility service of the logistics rear of one of the military units in the Donetsk region. 

Previously, this serviceman was already involved in a case regarding the involvement of subordinates in construction and trade.

The officer involved two servicemen in work for his own purposes and illegally arranged for them to receive additional monetary rewards of 100,000 UAH monthly for allegedly participating in combat operations. The total amount of unlawfully paid funds is 2 million UAH.

The actions of the official have been qualified as intentional abuse of official powers with serious consequences in a state of war.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support were carried out by the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigation in the city of Kramatorsk.
