In January 2025, the head of one of the structural units of the police in the Kharkiv region offered a citizen assistance in removing a third party from the wanted list. It was about the presence of records in the databases "Oberih" and ICS "IPNP" regarding this person's evasion of mobilization. The law enforcement officer stated that he had established connections among the officials of one of the RTCs and SPs in Kharkiv and for 2000 US dollars could "help" resolve the issue. 

In March 2025, the police officer reiterated his "offer," outlining the course of action: the man was to arrive at the designated RTC, undergo certain formal procedures, after which the person would be removed from the wanted list.

On April 1, 2025, the subject, while in his office, received the agreed amount of unlawful benefit of 2000 US dollars. Subsequently, the "client" was registered at another RTC, his data was updated, a referral for a medical examination was issued, he was removed from the wanted list in the "Oberih" database, and the administrative proceedings were closed.

Under the procedural guidance of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the law enforcement officer was informed of the suspicion of abuse of influence (part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The issue of suspending the suspect from his position is being resolved.

Law enforcement is identifying other individuals involved in the "scheme."

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Poltava. Operational support is provided by the Kharkiv Department of the National Police's Internal Security.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
