Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation is being conducted into the commission of war crimes that resulted in loss of life (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on September 12, 2025, around 06:00, the occupiers attacked the industrial zone in the city of Sumy with two drones.

A 65-year-old security guard of the enterprise was killed.

At 06:30, the enemy struck, according to preliminary data, with three missiles at the residential sector of the Bytytsia starostate in the Sumy community.

As a result of the occupiers' attack, two men were killed, one of whom is 67 years old, and the identity of the other is being established. At least 5 people were injured. 

More than 10 households were damaged or destroyed.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, are documenting the consequences of the attack.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region.
