The Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Central Region, together with the Main Directorate of the National Police in Kyiv, with the operational support of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine, has reported suspicion against an official of one of the state bodies for committing a criminal offense under Part 5 of Article 27 and Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (aiding in the receipt of unlawful benefits by a public official).

According to the investigation, the suspect organized a scheme for obtaining unlawful benefits for officials of one of the Territorial Centers for Recruitment and Social Support in Kyiv. He ensured the exclusion of conscripts from military registration, their removal from search lists, and subsequent reservation. A three-year "reservation" cost 26,000 US dollars, while a complete "removal" from the records cost 36,000 US dollars. He was detained in September 2025 while receiving the 36,000 dollars. The money has been seized. A preventive measure in the form of detention has been chosen for him, with the possibility of posting bail.

Currently, measures are being taken to identify and hold accountable other individuals involved in the commission of the crime.

The sanction for the incriminated article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of 8 to 12 years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to 3 years, along with confiscation of property.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
