4,000 US dollars for influencing officials of the TCC of the JV for removal from the wanted list in the "Oberig" system: the former law enforcement officer was informed of the suspicion

Under the procedural guidance of the prosecutors of the Ternopil Regional Prosecutor's Office, a resident of Ternopil has been notified of suspicion for receiving unlawful benefits for influencing the decision of a person authorized to perform state functions, combined with extortion of such benefits (Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, a conscript told his acquaintance, who was previously a police officer, about the impossibility of official employment due to being wanted in the "Oberih" system. The acquaintance promised the man that for 4 thousand USD, through personal connections in the Military Commissariat, he would influence the decision to remove him from the wanted list.

Law enforcement officers detained the former police officer while receiving the unlawful benefit.

The investigation is being conducted by the investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police, with operational support from the Department of Military Counterintelligence of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Department of Strategic Investigations in the Ternopil region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
