4 dead and 10 wounded, including a 10-year-old child - massive combined enemy attack on Novgorod-Siversky. An investigation has been launched

Under the procedural guidance of the Chernihiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated in a criminal proceeding regarding a war crime that resulted in the death of people (part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, on October 21 at approximately 15:50, the enemy, using drones and a multiple launch rocket system with cluster munitions, launched a massive attack on the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi.

As a result of the strikes, 4 civilians were killed. Shrapnel injuries were sustained by 10 local residents, including a 10-year-old girl. A medical facility, private homes, and vehicles were damaged.

Indiscriminate shelling using cluster munitions in densely populated urban areas is a gross violation of international humanitarian law.

Prosecutors, in cooperation with police and SBU investigators, are taking all necessary measures to document yet another war crime committed by the Russian Federation against the civilian population.
