Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Odesa Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Southern region, a serviceman of a special law enforcement agency has been exposed and notified of suspicion. He organized the illegal transportation of a conscript across the state border of Ukraine.

According to the investigation, in August 2025, the suspect offered a man of conscription age a monetary reward of 4,500 US dollars to "help" him leave Ukraine. The escape route was through Transnistria, outside the official border crossing point and border patrols.

The serviceman provided the man with detailed instructions regarding the route and means, and on the screen of his own mobile phone in the "Google maps" application, he visually demonstrated to him the sections of the state border of Ukraine where illegal movement could be carried out. 

On the same day, after receiving the funds in the amount of 4,500 US dollars, the serviceman was detained by law enforcement officers.

The actions of the suspect have been qualified under part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. He has been chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention with the right to post bail in the amount of 242,000 UAH.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Second Investigative Department (located in Odesa) of the State Bureau of Investigation in Mykolaiv, with operational support from the Department of Counterintelligence of the Southern Operational Command and the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
