According to the investigation, a therapist from one of the medical institutions in Kryvyi Rih and a local resident organized a scheme of "assistance" for men who wanted to obtain a deferment from military service.

The resident of Kryvyi Rih found a conscript and offered to "resolve the issue" regarding the preparation of fictitious medical documents. The therapist's role was to influence the head of the neurology department regarding the man's hospitalization, undergoing examinations, and providing fictitious medical conclusions about unfitness for service.

The cost of the "service" was estimated at 5 thousand US dollars.

After receiving the unlawful benefit, they were detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine.

Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a suspicion was announced against the medical professional and the local resident for abuse of influence by a group of persons in conspiracy – Part 2 of Article 28, Part 3 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The prosecutor submitted a motion to the court for the selection of preventive measures for the suspects and the suspension of the doctor from their position.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region with operational support from the Strategic Investigations Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
