Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipro Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the field of defense of the Eastern region, three former directors of the branch "Novomoskovsk Military Forestry" of the State Specialized Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine" have been notified of suspicion for exceeding their official powers (part 3 of Article 365 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the suspects, holding the position of branch director at different times, issued and signed logging tickets, which unlawfully permitted logging on defense lands that were used by the Dnipro City Military Command and utilized by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

As a result of these illegal actions, timber of various species was unlawfully cut and harvested, which, according to expert conclusions, caused damage to the state of over 68 million UAH. Currently, the materials of the criminal proceedings have been sent to court for consideration of the case on its merits.
