The Khmelnytskyi Regional Prosecutor's Office proved the guilt of a local resident who was recruited by a representative of the Russian special services and assisted the enemy in subversive activities against Ukraine. He was found guilty of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Since January 2025, he had been conducting video recordings of restricted facilities for money, specifically the locations of units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the Territorial Defense Forces, and the State Academy of Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The recorded material helped the aggressor state determine the location of military facilities, the movement of equipment, the presence and number of personnel, etc.

The monetary reward ranged from 10 to 55 US dollars for one video. Payment was made to a cryptocurrency wallet.

The enemy agent was also tasked with manufacturing an explosive device. He was unable to carry out his criminal actions to the end, as he was exposed by the Security Service of Ukraine.

The convicted individual awaited the court's verdict in custody.
