Under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the former director of the state enterprise "Lyman Forestry" has been notified of suspicion of abuse of office, which caused severe consequences (part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In December 2023 - February 2024, the state enterprise entered into three contracts with a limited liability company for the supply of 3,000 cubic meters of timber.

At the same time, the procurement was carried out in the absence of production necessity, as the forestry enterprise had sufficient own stocks of forest products to meet the economic needs of state authorities, local self-government bodies, and the population.

The head of the enterprise, realizing that the cost of timber, taking into account delivery and unloading, significantly exceeds the market average, signed financial documents and instructed the accounting department to make the payment.

As a result, over 1.6 million UAH of state funds were unjustifiably transferred to the supplier.

The pre-trial investigation and operational support are carried out by the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigation located in the city of Kramatorsk, with the assistance of the Department of Internal and Economic Security of the State Enterprise "Forests of Ukraine".

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
