They beat and tortured civilians. Prosecutors were identified and informed about suspicion to 4 representatives of the DNR Military Commandant

This is about another center of inhumane torture of the civilian population, created in the occupied part of Donetsk. It was organized by representatives of the so-called "DPR" people's militia.

Three employees of the "Military Commandant's Office No. 4 of the Makiyivka Commandant District" detained one of the locals, brought him to the "commandant's office," and forced him to spend the night in a basement. In the morning, the so-called head of the pseudo-establishment accused the detainee of violating the curfew and threatened him with execution. By his order, subordinates brutally beat the civilian, whose hands were shackled. He was kept in a room without a bed, ventilation, or any light for a day.

The torture of another man was also participated in by the head of the "commandant's office" himself. They were beating him to extract "testimonies" regarding pro-Ukrainian activities. They struck him with their feet and a baton. They also used a stun gun on the victim, and the "commandant" even choked him. Additionally, they intimidated the captive by claiming they had orders for his execution. They took him outside, where they made him face a concrete wall and simulated execution with shots from a Kalashnikov rifle.

During their time in the enemy's dungeons, the victims suffered severe physical and moral suffering.

Prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office have identified and notified the suspects in this case in absentia. Their actions are classified as cruel treatment of the civilian population, committed by a group of individuals in conspiracy, and issuing an order to carry out such actions (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The members of the group are wanted. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region.
