They gave an employee of the SES of Vinnytsia 90 thousand hryvnias of bribe for the delivery of wood. Reported suspicion to the entrepreneur and his accomplice
01.08.2025
A physical person-entrepreneur from Mykolaiv and his intermediary have been exposed for providing an unlawful benefit to an official of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine in the Vinnytsia region, in collusion. They have been notified of suspicion under part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, the regional emergency service conducted open bidding in the spring of 2025 for the purchase of timber worth 3.3 million hryvnias. The winner of the bidding was an entrepreneur with whom they signed a contract. During the first delivery, discrepancies in quality and quantity were discovered, so the entrepreneur was informed about the termination of their legal relations.
To convince them not to terminate the contract and to sign the acceptance-transfer acts for the goods, the entrepreneur offered the agency representative a bribe of 90,000 hryvnias, which he reported to law enforcement agencies.
The intermediary was detained in Vinnytsia during the transfer of the first tranche of the unlawful benefit, while the main suspect was apprehended in Mykolaiv.
Currently, the prosecutor's office is preparing a motion for the selection of preventive measures for both suspects.
Under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia District Prosecutor's Office, operational measures were carried out by employees of the Vinnytsia Department of Internal Security of the National Police of Ukraine in conjunction with the Department for Prevention of Corruption of the State Emergency Service. The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by investigators of the Vinnytsia District Police Department.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
