Under the procedural guidance of the Mykolaiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, on October 21, 2025, a suspicion was announced against one of the city mayors in Mykolaiv region for the fact of declaring false information (part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). 

According to the investigation, the official intentionally included knowingly false information in the declaration of a person authorized to perform state functions for the year 2023. 

The declaration did not reflect the real estate, monetary assets, and financial obligations of his wife totaling over 5.3 million UAH. 

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Territorial Administration of the State Bureau of Investigation in the city of Mykolaiv. 

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
