Under the procedural guidance of the Brovary District Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been sent to court against the director of a contracting company — a deputy of the Velyka Dymerka Village Council in the Brovary District of Kyiv Region.

According to the investigation, during the capital repair of streets in the village of Hoholiv and the town of Velyka Dymerka, the official included false information in the acceptance acts of completed construction works regarding the volumes and costs of the works.

In particular, he inflated the indicators for the installation of foundations and coverings, the area of asphalting, and the amount of material used. As a result of these actions, the budget suffered losses amounting to over 827 thousand UAH.

The accused is charged with committing crimes under Part 2, 5 of Article 191 and Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (embezzlement, misappropriation of property or acquisition of it through abuse of office, as well as official forgery).

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
