30.07.2025
At the request of the head of the Odesa Regional Prosecutor's Office, a deputy of the Tairova Village Council has been informed of suspicion for disseminating materials that contain justification, recognition of legitimacy, and denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, as well as glorification of its participants (Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, after the onset of the large-scale armed aggression of Russia against Ukraine, the suspect espoused an anti-Ukrainian ideology and constantly sought ways to assist the enemy. To this end, the representative of the village council repeatedly posted messages containing signs of a crime in various hostile Telegram channels in 2022-2023, as well as corresponded about this with her acquaintances.
As part of this case, a forensic linguistic examination was conducted, which confirmed the criminal and unlawful nature of her texts.
Currently, the prosecutor's office has submitted a motion to the court for the selection of a preventive measure for the deputy.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Odesa region.
Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
