The state traitor, who corrected the shelling of the Armed Forces, will serve a life sentence
05.12.2025
Prosecutors from the Office of the Attorney General ensured a fair punishment in the Supreme Court for a resident of Kherson, convicted of treason during martial law (Part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The sentence – life imprisonment with confiscation of property – was left unchanged.
Prosecutors in courts of all instances proved that the citizen of Ukraine established contact in November 2022 with a representative of the aggressor country's special services and agreed to carry out his tasks. Over the next five months, acting under the control of the "curator," she transmitted information, photo and video materials, as well as coordinates of the locations and movements of the Armed Forces of Ukraine units in Kherson to the enemy.
Based on the data she provided, Russian military forces carried out shelling of specific positions where Ukrainian defenders and military equipment were located.
The Cassation Criminal Court as part of the Supreme Court agreed with the prosecutor's arguments that the qualification of the committed act is correct, and the imposed punishment is a fair measure of coercion for the traitor.
Currently, the convicted individual is serving the sentence imposed by the court.
During the trial of the criminal proceedings, the convicted individual showed a complete lack of remorse for her actions.
