Prosecutors of the Chernivtsi Regional Prosecutor's Office, together with detectives from the Bureau of Economic Security, uncovered an illegal scheme at the State Criminal Enforcement Service of Ukraine.

The acting director of the State Enterprise "State Criminal Enforcement Service of Ukraine (No. 67)" deliberately violated the requirements of the enterprise's charter and used his official position in the interests of third parties.

The official repeatedly sold the enterprise's products below their actual cost. This includes: wall stone, non-standard stone, limestone flour, and others. The state suffered losses of over 3 million hryvnias.

The official has been notified of suspicion of abuse of office, which caused severe consequences for state interests (part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The issue of choosing a preventive measure is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by detectives of the Territorial Department of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Chernivtsi region.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
