The nine military was reported suspected of ill -treatment with civilians of Kyiv region

Prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office have identified and notified nine servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces of suspicion for cruel treatment of civilians, as well as for committing other violations of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 28, Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
According to the investigation, on March 27, 2022, in the village of Andriivka, Bucha district, a commander and a sergeant of a military unit of the Russian Armed Forces detained two local residents. The occupiers beat them and then illegally held them in a garage along with four other civilians.
One of the detained men was interrogated. He was struck at least five times on the back, several times in the stomach, and hit on the head with the back of an axe. As a result, the victim sustained an open wound to the frontal part of the head, leading to severe bleeding and loss of consciousness.
Also, on February 25, 2022, in the village of Vyshyhrad, Bucha district, seven servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces illegally deprived 11 civilians of their liberty. Among the hostages were children aged 11 and 13, as well as elderly people aged 61 and 79.
Using physical superiority and automatic weapons, the occupiers forcibly locked the people in a cellar that is unsuitable for long-term stay. There is no lighting, heating, water supply, ventilation, sleeping places, or toilets.
The servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces held the victims in the cellar for more than 10 days, and only two women were allowed to go out once a day to care for livestock and prepare food.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, with operational support from the Fastiv District Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region and the 2nd Department of the Main Directorate "I" of the Main Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
