Private College Director is suspected of fictitious training of 125 conscripts

According to the investigation, a man, being a lawyer and the director of a private college, obtained a license for educational activities without actually intending to provide such services. Instead, from June to November 2024, he employed and enrolled 15 "teachers" and 110 "students" for obtaining vocational pre-higher education without conducting an admission campaign and further education. All "clients" received documents that grant the right to deferment from conscription during mobilization.

For his services, the suspect received over 1.7 million UAH in unlawful benefits.

Under the procedural guidance of the Rivne Regional Prosecutor's Office, the director of the educational institution has been notified of suspicion of receiving unlawful benefits and obstructing the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (part 3 of article 368-3, part 1 of article 114-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Currently, the official has been chosen a preventive measure in the form of detention without the right to bail, and the issue of his suspension from office is being resolved.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by a joint investigative group consisting of investigators from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Rivne region and the Main Directorate of the National Police in the region, with operational support from the security agency of Rivne.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
