Prosecutors of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office proved in court the guilt of a resident of Kostiantynivka in preparing a contract murder (Part 1 of Article 14, Part 3 of Article 27, Clause 6, Clause 11, Part 2 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). She was sentenced to 11 years of imprisonment. Having the intention to seize the property of her ex-husband, the convicted woman planned his murder. Thanks to the operational work of law enforcement, the "murder" was staged, and the convicted woman was detained.

It is worth reminding that she was notified of suspicion in July 2020.  

It was established that at the beginning of June 2020, the woman decided to seize the property of her ex-husband, who had the status of a person with a disability.  She planned to hire a contractor who was to force her husband to transfer his share of the apartment to her and then drown him in a body of water, staging it as an accident.

Having found a "contractor," the organizer handed him a photograph of the victim and an advance payment of 4,500 UAH.

The “contractor” immediately contacted the police. Subsequently, the murder was staged, and the customer was provided with falsified evidence – photographs of the “body” and a notarized power of attorney for the disposal of the second part of the apartment.

After the last part of the reward – 600 US dollars – was transferred, the woman was detained.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Investigative Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Donetsk region.
