Under public prosecution by the head of the Vinnytsia regional prosecutor's office, the Vinnytsia city court found a local resident guilty of crimes against sexual freedom and sexual inviolability, against public order and morality (parts 3, 4 of Article 152, parts 1, 3 of Article 301-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with the deprivation of the right to hold positions or engage in activities related to work or organizing leisure for persons under 18 years of age for a period of three years.

The prosecutor proved in court that from 2018 to 2021, the accused befriended the mother of the children and, working as a taxi driver, had the opportunity to visit them in one of the villages of Vinnytsia region. He brought food and sweets with him.

And when the woman was not at home, he raped her daughters, two biological sisters. At the beginning of the commission of the crime, the girls were 9 and 12 years old.

He recorded his criminal actions on video, forcing the sisters to participate in the creation of child pornography, which he later stored on his own laptop.

To keep the sisters silent, the perpetrator frightened the girls, telling them that social services would take them away from their mother and send them to an orphanage if they shared their experiences.

After several years of abuse, the older sister finally dared to inform her mother about the actions of the "family friend." The woman notified the law enforcement authorities.

During the court hearing, the accused did not admit his guilt.

The time for appealing the verdict is ongoing.

After the verdict comes into legal force, information about the convicted person will be entered into the Unified Register of Persons Convicted of Crimes Against Sexual Freedom and Sexual Inviolability of Minors.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the investigative department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Vinnytsia region.
