Based on the evidence collected by the prosecutor's office and the Security Service of Ukraine regarding the collaboration with the special services of the aggressor state, three residents of the Pokrovsk district of Donetsk region have been found guilty of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Each has been sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

The public prosecution was supported by prosecutors from the Donetsk and Cherkasy regional prosecutor's offices. They proved the guilt of the citizens and insisted on a fair punishment for them.

The convicted individuals, who were recruited by FSB officers of the Russian Federation to conduct subversive activities against Ukraine, assisted the Russian occupation forces in advancing in the Pokrovsk direction.

A resident of Ukrainian, who worked for the Donetsk Railway of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia," since March 2023, through a curator, was "leaking" the location of the personnel of the Defense Forces in his city, Selidove, and Tsukuryn. He also provided information about the location of equipment, training grounds, checkpoints, and police departments. He added markers on Google Maps and videos he had recorded to the reports.

Another employee of a critical infrastructure facility of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" from Rodynske, from March to August 2024, collected and transmitted data to the FSB about the consequences of missile strikes carried out by the Russian Armed Forces, the locations of personnel and military equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the locations of government bodies and military command bodies for planning combat tasks, including involving sabotage and reconnaissance groups.

In Pokrovsk, a local resident began carrying out tasks for the FSB in the summer of 2024. She photographed the equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, transmitted screenshots from maps, and provided data on the locations of military facilities. She manufactured and installed remote video surveillance devices in the locations specified by the curator, so that the enemy could adjust fire on Ukrainian defenders in real-time.

The illegal activities of the individuals in favor of the enemy were uncovered, and they were detained. They awaited the court's verdict in custody.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and the Security Service of Ukraine in the Cherkasy region.
