Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office, a man has been found guilty of committing arson aimed at weakening the state, directed at destroying objects of significant national economic importance, obstructing the lawful activities of military formations during a special period, and damaging property by means of arson (Part 2 of Article 113, Part 1 of Article 114-1, Part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). 

Prosecutors proved in court that a displaced person from the temporarily occupied territory, at the end of last year, during communication with a representative of the Russian Federation in the Telegram network, received regular assignments to destroy critical infrastructure objects, administrative buildings, and vehicles of military personnel.

During this period, the convicted individual carried out arson attacks on a number of energy, communication, administrative buildings, and two vehicles of military personnel in the regional center.

In the court session, the man explained that he wanted to earn money in this way. He was sentenced to fifteen years of imprisonment, with confiscation of property.
