On the public prosecution of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a citizen has been sentenced for treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). She has been sentenced to 15 years in prison with confiscation of property.

It has been proven that in August 2022, a resident of Hirnyk communicated via Telegram with her neighbor, who left for the Russian Federation at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Knowing that her friend was collaborating with the FSB of the Russian Federation and a member of the Wagner Group, she agreed to provide her with military-related information.

The so-called agent learned about the locations of personnel, equipment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and rotations of Ukrainian units in the Pokrovsk district. In addition, the citizen photographed a helicopter and sent the image to her curator with a detailed description of its direction of movement. At the same time, she was aware that the information provided was assisting the Russian army in advancing in the northern part of the region.

She awaited the court's verdict in custody. The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
