By the age of 15, a woman who committed arson in Kharkiv to order of the Russian Federation was sentenced

With the support of the public prosecution by the prosecutors of the Slobidsky District Prosecutor's Office of Kharkiv, the court found a woman guilty of sabotage committed under martial law (part 2 of Article 113 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and intentional destruction of property by arson (part 2 of Article 194 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

She was ultimately sentenced to 15 years and one month of imprisonment.

In March 2025, a Kharkiv resident, in search of "easy money," came to the attention of Russian special services through Telegram channels. A representative of the aggressor state offered her tasks involving the arson of objects belonging to Ukrzaliznytsia and civilian transport. In this way, the enemy attempted to destabilize the situation in the frontline city.

The first arson was committed on the night of March 29. The day before, the perpetrator had purchased gasoline, and at night she went to a high-rise building in the Slobidsky district of Kharkiv. There, she doused a parked car with fuel and set it on fire. The fire spread to a neighboring vehicle. Both vehicles were destroyed.

On the night of April 8, the suspect set fire to a relay cabinet of the Ukrzaliznytsia alarm system in the city.

The Kharkiv resident recorded her actions on her phone and sent "reports" to a representative of the Russian Federation.

During the court hearing, the woman fully admitted her guilt and expressed remorse.

For committing the aforementioned crimes, the court sentenced her to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property. Since the woman was on probation for causing bodily harm through negligence, the court added another month of imprisonment to her new term.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Investigative Department No. 2 of the Kharkiv Regional Police under the operational support of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
