Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Office of the Attorney General, the court found a resident of the Donetsk region guilty of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him to 15 years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.

Prosecutors proved in court that the man, while on the territory of the Donetsk region, voluntarily established contact with representatives of the aggressor state. In fulfillment of the tasks of the intelligence agencies of the Russian Federation, he transmitted information about the locations of positions and the deployment of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, as well as their movement routes. The convicted individual also adjusted artillery and missile strikes on military and civilian infrastructure and reported on the results of missile strikes.

The convicted individual is in custody until the court's verdict takes legal effect.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.
