To 15 years sentenced a man who transmitted information on the placement of strategic objects in Kirovograd region

Under public prosecution by the Kirovohrad Regional Prosecutor's Office, a man has been found guilty of treason (part 2 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Prosecutors proved in court that a resident of the Kyiv region, during a conversation on Telegram with a representative of the Russian Federation, received an offer to inform him for money about the location of critical infrastructure facilities in the Kirovohrad region.

To carry out the tasks, the man involved a minor who was unaware of the illegality of his actions.

In January 2025, the man provided the representative of the Russian Federation with photographs and coordinates of one of the electrical substations in Kropyvnytskyi, as well as the location of a special forces regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the aim of targeting them with missile strikes by the Russian army.

The accused was detained after the minor, at his direction, placed GPS trackers on a vehicle accompanying military equipment. During the investigation, he was held in custody.

The man was sentenced to fifteen years of imprisonment with confiscation of property.
