Up to 7 years, a resident of Lviv was convicted of Tiktok justified armed aggression of the Russian Federation in Tiktok

With the support of the public prosecution by prosecutors from the Office of the Prosecutor General and the Lviv Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court found a resident of Lviv guilty of justifying and recognizing the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine (Part 2, Part 3 of Article 436-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and sentenced him to 7 years of imprisonment.

Prosecutors in court proved that the convicted individual created videos throughout 2024 in which he expressed love and respect for the citizens of the Russian Federation and personally for the president of the aggressor state, and distributed them on the social network TikTok.

Additionally, the man supported the presence of the armed forces of the Russian Federation on the territory of Ukraine and convinced others of the legitimacy of the unprovoked armed attack by the aggressor state on Ukraine with the aim of seizing its territory.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by investigators from the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine.
