Tax revenues of over 29 million hryvnias have been returned to the budget thanks to the prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General in a criminal proceeding regarding the intentional evasion of tax payments in particularly large amounts (Part 3 of Article 212 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

It has been established that the director of a company in the Vinnytsia region deliberately did not reflect the actual volumes of income from the sale of confectionery products in the tax reporting for three years. This led to the non-receipt of over 29 million UAH in profit tax to the state budget.

The violations have been confirmed by the results of a judicial economic examination. By the time of the notification of suspicion, the head of the enterprise fully admitted guilt and voluntarily paid the entire amount of damages. 

In this regard, the prosecutors filed a motion with the court to release the individual from criminal liability in accordance with the current legislation.
