Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Office of the Attorney General, a citizen of a foreign country has been found guilty of collecting technical documentation on one of the domestic aircraft for the purpose of transferring it to representatives of a foreign organization (Part 1 of Article 114 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). He has been sentenced to six years of imprisonment.

It has been established that in 2022 he entered Ukraine but was present here as an agent of a foreign intelligence service and was engaged in espionage activities.

In 2024, acting out of mercenary motives, the convicted individual established contact with an engineer from one of the state enterprises and offered 1 million US dollars for the transfer of technical documentation on one of the domestic aircraft.

The engineer handed over to the foreigner a flash drive containing documents marked "Confidential" that contained information constituting a state secret.

Immediately after receiving the drive, the man was detained by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine. 

The court's verdict has entered into legal force.
