Prosecutors of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office are conducting procedural oversight in a criminal proceeding regarding the illegal circulation of tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, and smoking liquids. The organizer of the illegal activity has been notified of suspicion under Part 1 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal storage, sale, or transportation for the purpose of sale of excise goods).

It has been established that the entrepreneur arranged the supply of counterfeit tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, and related liquids, after which he organized their sale in retail stores in Kyiv and Cherkasy regions and through social networks with delivery across the entire territory of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers seized excise goods worth approximately 2.5 million UAH, as well as computer equipment, mobile payment terminals, handwritten notes, and cash.

Operational support was provided by employees of the operational search department of the Kyiv Border Guard Service of Ukraine. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security in the Kyiv region.
