An indictment was sent to the court regarding the exterior of the Vinnytsia State Enterprise, which caused losses to the state for over UAH 5.1 million

Under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, an indictment has been sent to court against the former director of a state enterprise for reinforced concrete products in Vinnytsia region.
The ex-official is accused of embezzlement of someone else's property by abusing their official position, committed under martial law in particularly large amounts (Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that in 2022, the accused entered into two contracts with a private company for the supply of river sand at inflated prices.
In this way, the manager caused losses to the state of over 5.1 million UAH.
The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings was conducted by the Territorial Administration of the Bureau of Economic Security in Vinnytsia region with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in Vinnytsia region.
For such a crime, a punishment is provided in the form of imprisonment for a term of seven to twelve years, with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years and with confiscation of property.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
