Prosecutors of the Office of the Attorney General have sent an indictment to the court against a citizen of Ukraine who, in November 2022, voluntarily agreed to the proposal of representatives of the military administration of the so-called "LPR" to take a position in an illegal occupation law enforcement agency.

He is accused of collaborationist activities (part 7 of Article 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

In August 2023, the accused was transferred to the unit of the "Branch of the State Unitary Enterprise 'PROTECTION' of the Federal Service of the National Guard of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region".

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine with operational support from the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the Security Service of Ukraine.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict.
