"Doctor Evil" from the Mordovian colony was informed about the suspicion of torture of Ukrainian prisoners of war

Under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General, a notice of suspicion has been issued to a paramedic of a Russian colony, who tortured and humiliated Ukrainian prisoners of war instead of providing treatment. He is charged with cruel treatment of prisoners, which is a war crime (Part 1 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

According to the investigation, the individual in question, being a medical worker and located in correctional colony No. 10 of the Federal Penitentiary Service in the Republic of Mordovia, systematically committed violence against Ukrainian prisoners of war.

He subjected Ukrainian prisoners of war to electric shocks, beat them on the head and body with a pipe and other objects. His actions caused our military severe physical pain and deep moral suffering.

For the committed crime, the Criminal Code of Ukraine provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years.

The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the Main Investigative Department of the Security Service of Ukraine. Operational support is provided by the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police of Ukraine.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
