Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been initiated regarding the possible improper performance of official duties by representatives of the Children's Affairs Service of the Bilozersk City Council (Part 1 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
This concerns three brothers from the Pokrovsk district who allegedly were left without proper care after their grandmother's death. Two of them are 13-year-old children with a severe genetic disease, confined to bed. Information is being verified that for over a year, the only person who cared for them was their 10-year-old younger brother, who independently fed, watered, and looked after the boys, and during shelling, he would take them down to the basement by himself.
According to medical professionals, the children were taken to a charity center in extremely serious condition: emaciated, with numerous untreated injuries and without necessary medical assistance.
As part of the criminal proceedings, prosecutors have initiated the necessary investigative actions and prepared a number of requests to relevant services to clarify all circumstances.
The progress of the investigation is under the control of the leadership of the regional prosecutor's office.
