Under the public prosecution of the prosecutors of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, the court proceedings in the criminal case against two citizens who committed particularly serious crimes – the intentional murder of two women and robbery (subparagraphs 6, 12, 13 of part 2 of Article 115, part 4 of Article 187 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) – have been completed.

Prosecutors proved in court that in May 2022, the accused – a 44-year-old resident of Donetsk region and a 30-year-old resident of Kyiv – settled temporarily in the Kalush district. There, they met a 19-year-old local resident. During a joint consumption of alcohol, a conflict broke out between them, as a result of which the cohabitants decided to kill the girl. They inflicted numerous stab wounds on her, from which she died on the spot. The body of the victim was hidden by the perpetrators in the restroom.

The next day, with the intent to commit robbery, the accused broke into the home of a 54-year-old local resident. When the woman refused to give them money, they brutally killed her, inflicting stab wounds. After that, the attackers stole money, computer equipment, a television, and jewelry, and fled the crime scene.

By the verdict of the Rozhniativ District Court, the man was sentenced to life imprisonment, while the woman received a 15-year prison sentence with the confiscation of all their property.

The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
