Under the procedural guidance of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, police investigators have initiated a pre-trial investigation into the fatal traffic accident that occurred on the evening of September 11, 2025, on the M-04 highway "Piatykhatky – Dnipro." 

A local resident, while driving a car, hit a 13-year-old cyclist who had entered the roadway. As a result of the traffic accident, the child died in the hospital.

Information about the criminal offense has been entered into the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations under Part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety rules resulting in the death of the victim). 

Currently, investigative actions are ongoing, and necessary examinations have been appointed to establish all the circumstances of the tragic event. 

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
