Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, on November 25, 2025, a former official of the Main Department of the State Tax Service in the Zaporizhzhia region was notified of suspicion for intentionally providing false information in the declaration of a person authorized to perform state functions (Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that in the summer of 2024, while serving as the head of one of the tax department's divisions, the woman purchased apartments abroad worth nearly 4 million UAH for her underage daughter.

After her dismissal in the fall of the same year, the suspect submitted a declaration but did not include any information about her daughter or details about the new property. As a result, the sections 2.2 "Information about family members" and 3 "Real estate objects" of the declaration did not contain the data that should have been specified in accordance with the requirements of the legislation.  

A preventive measure has been chosen for the suspect. The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by investigators of the Territorial Department of the State Bureau of Investigation in Melitopol.

Note: According to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a guilty verdict of the court.
