Under the procedural guidance of prosecutors from the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, on December 17, 2025, a former official of the Main Department of the State Emergency Service in the Zaporizhzhia region was notified of suspicion of illegal enrichment (Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that from 2021 to 2023, while serving as the head of the emergency rescue squad of special purpose and being a person authorized to perform state functions, the man acquired unjustified assets amounting to nearly 13 million UAH.

Among these assets are cash seized during searches, as well as luxury vehicles: Toyota Land Cruiser 3.3 Twin Turbo, 10 AT Premium PD (2022 model year); Mercedes-Benz EQC 400 (2021 model year); Volkswagen Touareg (2020 model year).

According to the investigation, to conceal the illegal origin of the assets, ownership was registered in the name of his wife and a trusted person.

The pre-trial investigation in the criminal proceedings is being conducted by investigators of the State Bureau of Investigation in Melitopol.

Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
