Prosecutors of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office in the Defense Sector of the Western Region have sent an indictment to the court regarding three residents of the Stryi district of Lviv region, who illegally transported individuals across the state border of Ukraine (part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
The investigation established that the accused were searching for conscripted men who had no legal grounds for leaving Ukraine under martial law, and fictitiously employed them as drivers for international transportation.
One of the accomplices – an entrepreneur with a license for international freight transportation – provided registration data. After submitting applications to the "Shlyakh" information system and obtaining their approval, the group members prepared the necessary package of documents to create the appearance of legal departure.
Citizens were formally employed, allowed to "perform duties," and facilitated their departure through checkpoints in the Lviv and Transcarpathian regions.
The price for such "services" ranged from 18 to 21.5 thousand US dollars per "client."
The pre-trial investigation was conducted by investigators of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Lviv region with operational support from the Security Service of Ukraine in the Lviv region.
Note: according to Article 62 of the Constitution of Ukraine, a person is presumed innocent of committing a crime and cannot be subjected to criminal punishment until their guilt is proven in a lawful manner and established by a court verdict.
